Smarter machines for your connected life
The next evolution of the internet is widely expected to concern the internet of objects and introduce the ability for multiple devices, appliances and machines to connect to each other and to the Internet to get new functionalities.
These capabilities will allow a new range of internet services to be developped, that are even more integrated in our daily lives: the "LifeWeb". They will have a major impact on the way consumer appliances are designed and marketed.
Changes in hardware, enabling low cost computers to be built using components from mobile phones, and in software, with the success of open source operating systems and cloud computing, mean it is now technically possible to build intelligent, always on connected devices at a low cost, that can be embedded on any home appliance.
The most important part is however still missing: services and adapted business models.
Companies traditionally active in Consumer Electronics are not today the best fit to develop those services, focusing mostly on hardware development instead of services and software to power these new smart objects.
Without adapted software and services users will not be ready to pay for new devices as they will not be able to use them immediately.
Our goal at Cybronics® is to conceive software and services for internet powered consumer electronics (“Cyber electronics”), for the home, at a low upfront cost and targeting all users - not just technophiles.
We aim to help you better connect your physical and virtual lives with a new range of LifeWeb services for the smart home.
